Challenge: Migrating to a Modern Content Management System 

Exelon Corporation faced the challenge of migrating its corporate site from SharePoint to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud. The project required enhanced communication and collaboration among an agile, cross-functional team, as the existing hosting services were nearing end-of-life. The objectives were to migrate the corporate site to AEM Cloud, improve design and user experience, and establish efficient team communication and collaboration, creating a modern content management system for optimized content creation, publication, and management. 

How DTI Helped: Leading a Seamless Migration and Enhancing Collaboration 

As the Product Lead on a leading international consulting firm team, DTI shaped the solution approach and created roadmaps and user stories, facilitating agile ceremonies and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The team rebuilt the architecture flow, developed new templates and components, and successfully migrated the corporate website to AEM. DTI collaborated closely with the consulting firm and various independent departments within this large utility and renewable company, merging these departments into a cohesive team. This involved utilizing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud and Azure DevOps to ensure a smooth transition and improved user experience. 

Results and Outcomes 

The project successfully migrated the corporate site from SharePoint to AEM Cloud, launching in August 2023 ahead of the end-of-life deadline. The new site provided a modern, user-friendly interface for customers, shareholders, job seekers, and stakeholders. New processes were established to foster growth, cohesion, and streamline delivery, leading to improved communication and collaboration between client and vendor teams. 

DTI supported the cross-functional team with core Agile methodologies and ceremonies, guiding them from storming to performing. The leadership provided by DTI ensured project success by fostering equity and bridging communication gaps. The successful launch of the new corporate site on AEM Cloud in August 2023 met all project deadlines and significantly improved team collaboration and communication, resulting in more efficient and effective project delivery.
